I've bought a new 5ft double hutch, better break it to the OH gently.

It's a just in case hutch, I've been accepted to be a fosterer for a local rescue, I'm so excited.

Haven't told OH that bit of news yet either.rolleyesrolleyesrolleyes

If I hide it round the corner he may not see it till it's too late teehee.;););)
 
Just hit him with both announcements then put his favourite food in front of him and make the ultimate sacrafice give him control of the remote for the evening he will be fine hun. :(|)
 
LOL you lot are so funny, making me giggle, I'm not supposed to be happy I'm at work.

We're going out tonight so I'll offer to pay for the meal, it normally wouldn't be a problem but he was only grumbling this morning about not being able to get his scooter out of the shed, because I have 2 sacks of feed, a bale of hay and a sack of megazorb in front of it.
 
I got away with piggy #8 by asking my hubby whether he would prefer to scream or to shout at me for adopting yet another one... Which of course made him laugh! ;)
 
aww, who could resist looking after a few piggies at a time before they go to new homes? you never know, he may even like to adopt a few of the piggies you foser!
 
Put the hutch in the living room with a large tablecloth over it, that reaches the ground. Tell him it's a new coffee table, so he'll get used to the shape and size, and one day when he's in an ultra good mood, whip off the cloth, and voila! He'll be used to the idea by then, and will be fine about it.

if i was your other half all you would have to do is buy me a crate of my favorate beer then tell me after i drunk half of it!

or you could get him drunk then say the next day ive brought that hutch and told the rescue you said i can foster,he will say WTx do you mean then you say you said last night i could have the hutch and do the fostering ,, he was that drunk he would never know difference:(|);):(|):(|):(|)

I was a bit brave and with the help of a little alcohol last night I admitted the lot, and you know what, the grumpy old so and so was fine about it.

He thinks that as long as I don't spend anymore than he does on his golf then he doesn't really have an argument. Hope he doesn't insist on seeing receipts because I could be onto a losing streak.

lol i do that like when i adopted my basil from p&h last week he said how much so i said they let me have him free as he needs to see the vet about his teeth i also said they said they would also pay the vets bill. well it was half true :p
 
Lol i managed to convince my other half that we can afford to have piggies by pointing out that he has a season ticket for man utd and has just had a brand new tele and i've got nothing- he couldn't argue with that one lol! :(|)
 
hehe i do the same and say it's a bit lower than i paid - he thinks I am nuts for the amount of money i have spent on my gps, but hey, thats what i like doing! good luck in telling him!
