Does anyone use those ice blocks (that you put in a cool box) in the piggies hutches?

Just wondering as it seems very warm today rolleyes

I usually freeze small water bottles (like Evian) and then wrap them in a towel. You have to be careful with the ice packs as I believe the contents can be toxic if they chew it?

You can also get 'Chin-Chillers' from Pets and Home, which are like cold marble tiles they can sit on!

A wet towel across the front of the hutch also helps, as the breeze blows through and cools the air

Thanks Sophie! I was getting ready to ask this because we're taking the little family to the vet today and don't want anyone to overheat...luckily it is a fairly cool day here at the moment but you can never be over prepared.

My lot were all laid by their frozen water bottles today (i put them in old socks) & i too drape hand-wrung wet towels at hutch fronts :)
