My girlies have 2 ice pods and last year and today, I have been putting them in an old pillow case. What do other people do, do you put the ice pod in to a covering or just put it in to the hutch uncovered?

Good question! This is our first summer with rabbits and guinea pigs, so today I put a frozen bottle of water in for the rabbits, didn't think about covering it though!

(Just down the road from you in Rochdale) x

I put the ice pods straight in the cage. The plastic they use means there is no risk of freezer burn like you would get with other frozen items that are not covered

If you use bottles you MUST cover them as there is a serious risk of an animal getting freezer burn from them, if they aren't coered there is also the risk of an animal chewing on it and getting their teeth caught. The material ice pods are made of do not have the same problem

Will the little ice packs you get for freezer bags work ok, if you cover them?
Just until I can get some ice pods?

Make sure you cover them, Animal magic is selling 2 icepods for 9.99. I also shall be investing :).
