..that guinea pigs and all other animals end up in a place that they are happy in. Or they have a choice to go and wait for you in a place where they can eat all the veggies they'd like or to stay and protect you. Well spiritually anyways. It makes losing someone or some pet even a bit easier when they cross that rainbow bridge..

I was searching online, because I, too, am struggling with the loss of my baby and hoping to see her again, someday. I came across a couple of books with good reviews. I am in the USA, however. I'll give you the title of the books and maybe you can take a look into them. The first one is "Animals and the Afterlife" by Kim Sheridan and the second one is, "Signs from pets in the afterlife" by Lyn Ragan. Both had really good reviews by readers. I found them on Amazon

I believe in rainbow bridge and that they wait for us in a wonderful place until it is our time. I'm not a religious person, but I do believe something happens to us after death.

Well we have to be on this earth for a reason. I believe and in the words of Marilyn Baker (well known Christian singer songwriter of the 1980's) "We're just here to learn to love Him" @Merab's Slave don't you agree?

I certainly believe there's something more than this, nothing in nature is wasted, it's broken down and becomes something new. I refuse to believe that life and consciousness are exceptions to that. We're energy and you can't destroy or create energy, from a physics standpoint, so we're all just knocking around in one big loop! :)

Yes there has to be something after. I do like to believe in an afterlife and reincarnation.

I heard a story once of a woman who lost her daughter who was 28 and had been given her Mother's ring on her deathbed. She said to her Mother I'll come back and the first words I'll say is "that is my ring" and she gave her Mother back the ring. A few years later her Mother had a grandaughter and the grandaughter's first words were "that is my ring" and she pointed to the ring. How spooky is that?

I am a Christian and I have no problem in believing that we will meet our beloved pets again in the afterlife.
If God is the Creator then it makes sense that he loves our piggies and other pets as much as we do and the Rainbow Bridge is a step into Piggy Heaven

It does make everything feel much better for me at least that I have the possibility to see them again!

Oh my goodness! I’ve got goosebumps reading that! Xx

I'm a Christian too and I've always been told otherwise, BUT I don't put much faith in people who preach about heaven..... if some people who knew the prophecies about the Messiah inside out did not recognise him when he turned up, how different will heaven be to our interpretations of the few clues we're given!

Like you say God is creator, the first thing he did after creation was get Adam to name the animals (which suggests they are significant), and we're told there will be "a new heaven AND a new earth".... which would be pretty dull without our furry companions.
