Some pet owners have beloved pets buried in their backyard. But, you cannot bear leaving the buried pet behind when you move. Here is an idea for easing the pain of leaving a deceased pet.
1. Take a souvenir
Get a pretty wooden box or a small frame. Get a leaf, flower, or handful of soil from the gravesite. You can dry leaves and flowers and then frame them, and put the soil in the box. Tell yourself or your children that you now have taken a piece of your pet with you that you can keep forever. Help children with drying the leaves or flowers, there are many tutorials online for this.
2. Tell the new owners about the grave.
I can guarantee they will understand. Show them where the gravesite is and ask they do not disturb the grave. If they understand, they most likely will not disturb the grave. Plant flowers or a tree at the gravesite to make it look pretty for the new owners.
