Three of my four guinea pigs are now 7 months old.
Since we got them they have slowly been gaining weight, and are now all over 900 grams (which hardly seems possible by the way).

I am guessing that within the next few months they will reach their 'ideal' adult weight?
But how do you know when you guinea pig is there?

At the moment we don't really measure the pellets we feed. They just get a fairly steady supply of 2 different types of pellet, along with unlimited hay, daily fresh grass, and a couple of cups of fresh veg.

But once they reach their ideal weight I ma guessing I should probably measure out their pellets?
How does this work when you have a group with mixed ages?

I have read the feeding guides, but I am still a bit unclear about how to know when they have reached their adult weight.

I was actually wondering the same thing!
I think ideal boar and sow weights differ, but that's all I know.

Your piggies are now past their fast growth phase (until 4-6 months of age), so you can gradually reduce their pellets to the adult half to handful (10-20g) that an adult guinea pig over 12-15 months old needs. Pellets should only make about 5% of the daily food intake in an adult guinea pig.
To find out whether your piggy is a good weight for its size, you will find the tips in this thread here helpful: The Importance Of Weighing - Ideal Weight / Overweight / Underweight
