There is no ideal weight . As long as they gain weight well while they are young and their heft is good for their own body type, then that is what you are looking for.
Heft is the important factor in determining what is healthy for the individual piggy, not weight. There is such a wide range of healthy adult weight (800-1500g is within ‘normal‘ range) but a number that is good on the scales for one piggy will not be healthy for another.
Check heft over anything. To give you an idea here's what my boys weighed
Po: 939g
Jupiter: 820g
Basil (currently around 5 months old): 650g
Cyril (same age as Basil): 713g
As you can see it differs massively and what's right for one may not be right for another.
Just echoing what everyone else has said! They differ so greatly that it’s somewhat surprising such small bodies can actually present with different body types.
We have one boy close to 1300g and one around 850g. Both are healthy, and the thought of either being at the other’s weight is horrifying (and funny to picture).
