It looks a bit more male to me, but frankly, I'd be glad if you could look up the link I've given you. They have a lot of great pictures on there that show babies of different genders at different weeks old.

The picture is sadly not clear enough that I want to stick my hand in the fire for it!

C&C cages are generally cheap to build.
Cubes can be found on ebay for around £20-25 and Correx can be found for £15-20 if you look in the right places. (I got some neat links from my lovely pals here. :) )

They may look fairly big but your pigs will benefit from the space. Lack of space means they have a very high chance of fighting and they can cause serious damage to each other and not to mention to their relationships.
If you're not careful, they can fight to the point where they simply cannot be together anymore and then you end up with one cage per Guinea Pig, having to have them close together so they can see and chat to each other and that ultimately means you lose even MORE space. Not to mention money!

So Building a decent sized C&C cage from the off is normally the best idea.

Check this site out, too. It'll be a big help.

Maybe I'm insane but I go without so that my boys can have the space they need.
I have to climb over my bed to get to things in my room because their cage blocks most of my floor.
Believe me, these little guys are worth every sacrifice.

Don't get me wrong. Store bought cages are great! I'm buying one myself soon.
But they need to be big enough and they can be rather expensive.
C&C cages are generally cheap and great because you can expand them or even shrink them if you need to for any reason. (Like if you want to split a piggy up from the rest because he/she is sick. things like that.)

Hi, If you are wondering if you could fit them into your available space it might be worth measuring up- each cube is 14" (approx 35cms) so a 4x2 C&C cage for example is 140cms by 70 cms. or 3x2 is 105cms by 70cms (Approx )

Sounds interesting. I can't wait to see what you've come up with! :)

i sea the c&c mesh in wickes last week at a decent price. my cage has a mdf floor and i bought lino tiles at about £8 a pack you get about 15 in a pack i think. i used these to line the mdf to make cleaning eaisier. then i put down lots of sofa throws i got from asda and a pet fleece. I'm getting some of the vet bed stuff this weekend as well to put under the throws. cant remember the exact name of the stuff! hope that helps. my entire piggy pan cost about £60 pounds to make and is better than the set ones like the ones in p@h because if i get bored of the layout i can change it!

well the idea i was going to do has changed but i realised i got a 3ft long hutch out side so i cleaned it good and put it in my room for the 2 young ones to use that so once we move i can make a bigger pen and they can all go to gether they go out together in the playpen so they will have contact every other day, or everyday in the summer.
