Sorry another question from me
I know it is still early days yet, but does any one have any ideas to encourage the pigs to use their ramp?
Tia and Ruby know how to use it, although Tia prefers just to jump over the side.
One side of the cage is not big enough for 4 of them so the sooner they all learn to get into the other side - the better for all of them.x

I just put a tube up my ramp and mine are very happy to run up and down it like that. I know other members have used pieces of carpet so there is more grip on the ramp. Mine will go up it both ways. I've just laid a fleece up it before and they're happy to go up it like that.

The tunnel I have is this one http://www.monsterpetsupplies.co.uk...-tunnel.aspx?gclid=CLXZj9bK2LMCFcbLtAodE3kAsQ I have just tied it to the ramp so it doesn't slip.

Hope this helps

I'm sure they will soon figure it out by watching the other two going over it. You could try placing veggies on the ramp to try and tempt them. Although if you do that then you might want to somehow keep Tia and Ruby out of the way so that they don't steal all the veggies! I think it's still early days as you said so it may take them a while to figure it out.

The three gingers have all been over, with a little help from some excel country garden herbs. Now just Rosie to get over, I think it will take a little while as it is very unfamiliar to her and i think her eye sight is quite poor so she is sticking to quiet hidey spots at the moment. x

One of my boys was having a hard time understanding the ramp in their cage so i actually gsntly put him on it one day and that made it click for him :)

I have done it several times with Rosie but she just scrabbles when picked up and scrabbles to get over and then she is stuck on the other side until someone helps her over x

Bless her!

Have you tried putting some tasty treats on the ramp to encourage her to get curious and a bit braver. Maybe you could do it when the others are out of the cage so they don't get there first?

Good luck x

Have tried it with veg and excel herb mix, didn't take the others out but she just wasn'tt interested. Whether that was because she couldn't see it/smell it I'm not sure she is quite slow. I will try it with banana as I'm sure she won't be able to resist it!
