hi was wondering if anyone can recomend a shampoo or cream for ringworm as the vets have quoted me 16 pounds for a bottle of shampoo they want to take gizmo in clip where he has ringworm then treat him with the first lot of shampoo which will cost me about 25 pounds for them to do this so was wondering if there is anything i could use which would be a bit cheaper thanks
 
Yes I have heard of some people using this. Personally I wouldn't as I think it might be a bit strong and it is full of chemicals.
Neem works really well to get rid on fungal.
 
Do you mean have his hair clipped (cut)?
With fungal it is advised to try and pull as much of the hair out in the affected area when bathing. The hair should come out easily.
If you buy a neem melt from GG (the website I gave you) this will also really help loosen the hair in the affected area.
 
Usually the hair in the area with ringworm has already fallen out, so I wouldnt; think so :) Also its very contagious so wear gloves or something
 
so will be able to do this without having to go back to the vets ?he also has mites poor boy he has had one shot of intervimin (spelling?) and is due his next one thursday is there anything else i can use for that thanks
 
Unfortunately intervimin is the only treatment effective for mites so you will need to go back to the vets for that. Although GG products will help soothing his skin where he has been scratching. If you email Chrissie who runs the site she will be able to advise you on what you need.
You may want to mention to your vet about topical intervimin as injections are painful to piggies. It works just as well and you can do this at home providing he will sell them to you.
 
well have emailed chrissie and she has recommened some manuka lotion and the manuka and neem shampoo thanks for the help will let you know how it goes
