hey, i have to guinea pigs mum and daughter, who are most of the time chewing the the hutch. it is mostly mum who does it. is there any thing i could used to put on the hutch to stop her from chewing as i've try chew stoppa spray but she carrys on. as she is doing this she is teaching her daugther to do it to its a real pain. any ideas?

I have exactly the same problem with my 2 girls. They constantly chew the divider that divides the bedroom and living accommodation. Connie is worse than Eliza but Eliza still does it. I brought them a new hutch last week and they have already started to chew the divider. The one in their old hutch was totally demolished. I have provided them with wooded chew toys which they do chew but they always go back to the divider. To be honest, I think there is very little you can do. Try and look out on the bright side, at least it's doing their teeth some good :(|)

that really strange as that is the same as my two do. it is ture it keeping there teeth down and will just have to put up with it:(|)

It's a shame that the people who make them don't put a piece of metal that folds around the edge of the doorway. Make them nibble proof. Then again they are just doing what rodents do.:))

i would use something like a wooden house or the wooden logs that bend into any shape. It is great for their teeth
