Title says it all. 2funny Cage and correx is that right? Where do you buy both? Anything I should know?

THANKS.

The grids you can get from Screwfix or DIY. Correx from sign makers or just have a look on the internet and most places deliver :)

Travis Perkins builders merchants sell correx for £5 for an 8 x 4 foot sheet.

C&C from ebay - look for shevling cubes - as mine were designed to become display cubes! ;)

Correx - I got mine from a local sign maker - got a choice of colours and cheap too!

Good luck

Carrie

if you have a look under the housing section there is a sticky by QPD which has a lot of information about where to buy the materials from in the UK. O0

I bought my cubes from screwfix and the corex from ebay.

OK - have read that thread now and looked at the links. So - you buy the grids and self assemble to the right size. They you place on top of the correx. Can correx be cut? Or do you need to make sure you get the right size? Presumably it is quite easy to wipe clean after removing paper and hay which is one of the advantages?

All the pictures on those links give a back to the grids - but can you make them so they just have sides? We don't need a cover - just the sides. How easy is it to put together multi layer?

Do you bolt the connectors to the correx or does it just sit on top? When you clean out do you life the grids off the correx?

Sorry for so many questions! Thanks.

Yes correx can be cut to the right size with a Stanley knife.
It is very sturdy and very easy to keep clean.
You don't need to have a cover if you don’t have any other pets/children. I don’t have one on mine.
I know you have had a look at some examples on the site but have you seen this page: http://www.guineapigcages.com/howto.htm
This will really explain how the grids and correx fit together.
I have built quite a few over the years (including multi-story ones) so if you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me.
Good luck!
