Idk what to say in the title - Is linseed oil safe for putting piggies back?

My dad built this enclosure for my piggies from wood and he coated it in a natural oil that's not toxic (forgot what it's called) however the smell is still pretty strong. Is it bad for the piggies or can I put them in it now before it fully dried up?

He used linseed oil, I'll send a pic of the enclosure when I get home.

The wood will need to be dry for sure. From a google search and indeed a search on this forum linseed oil seems to be safe to treat wood with. But as with all information you need to check and check again

Yes, linseed oil should be safe.
