I gave archie a really nice bath just over a week ago, got him looking beautifully clean. Since then, he has been trying his hardest to filth himself up, and he looks like hes been bathing in a sewer or something, his lovely white fur is a filthy grimey greeny brown, bits of dirt all over him too and he stinks and he is so happy. I wiped him with one those guinea pig wipes you can get at Pets at Home, but the filth is too embedded, though I got some off. The wipe looked like I had cleaned my bum with it, urgh. At least he doesnt stink so much now, but I just cant be bothered to wash him again so soon, he obviously is in a mucky phase at the moment  He literally seeks out patches of mud and rolls in them, as well as laying around in his wee etc. And of course, the spring grass has made his poop all sticky and stuff, so he happily wipes it everywhere. I think I clean him up and its safe to cuddle him, but I still put him on my bare skin just in case, and thank god I do, he is all sweet and innocent and then I put him down and find he has stealthy wiped large squishy stinky turds on my tummy and arms and legs, its so hard to clean off too, urghghhghg its just so gross.:(
I love him so much but he is a filthy critter sometimes.

My boys also share a similar dirty habit. They seem to love lying in smelly wee patches. I feel your pain :/

My boys have similar mucky habits too. Spike (avatar) is black on one side and white the other, only the white is always yellow! They leave brown piggy sized patches in their favourite lying down places as well.
