i had to rush jack to vet last night as he was wheezing short of breath n not really moving so got to vets n they kept him in over night put him in an oxygen n give him meds got to bring him home at 2pm the vets side they are not to sure what the prob is tho have to take him back to for a xray tho sins he came home he got a bit of a cough should i take him out of the hay or leave him in with his brother he is resting eating in small bits going to loo as normal wee is a normal colour what would be the best for him tonight ?

I think unless he's being bullied by his cage mate I would leave them in together for company, so sorry to hear he's been so poorly.

Please keep a close eye on him and weigh him daily before dinner to make sure that he is eating enough. Just watching can be deceptive.

Place a bowl of steaming water next to the cage to help with the breathing and have him seen again tomorrow. He may be developing a URI (respiratory infection) and need an antibiotic.

Being with his companion is fine; you do not want to stress him out any more than necessary.

Check on him once in a while, try to comfort him, I would say, u can let him stay with his brother, unless u think the issue is contagious. Please make sure he is eating and drinking properly.:tu:
