Last night 2 beautiful girls who are very well known on here came to live with me- Sarah and elizabeth. They are even more gorgeous than in their pictures!

When we got home I popped them in their cage and put a bowl of water, hay and some pellets and left them to it. Sarah ventured out first and has been seen a eating a few times and having a drink from the bowl rather than the bottle. She's coming up to the bars as I talk to her now and I was giving them a slice of carrot and she took it off my hand! Can't believe it. She's coming out more today.

Elizabeth bless her was petrified last night, but I have seen her eating hay. Not sure if she's drinking tho? How can I check this? The bowl had gone down and I cleared a good number of poos out this morning. She's calmed down a bit this morning and has been munching on hay. She let me lift the fleece hammock up to check on her earlier and didn't run so I hope she's not too scared.

Will get some pictures on later. Am really in love with them all ready and I've found myself staring at the cage rather than my housework this morning, lol")

Thank you Suzy for letting us have your little precious ones

aaah how lovely, i am sure elizabeth will be out drinking when you are not watching, i expect the journey and new environment has made her nervous, whereas sarah sounds much more chilled, look forward to many more updates and photos.

Congratulations!

Give your little girl a bit more time to get her bearings and settle in; that can take a few days - remember that this is the second big change in her short life. The behaviour is absolutely normal. Piggies also get fluids from the veg they eat. She will drink when she's feeling safe and unobserved, so don;t worry. Sarah is a real credit to the good care she's had at Suzy's if she is that bold already!

The important bit is to establish a firm daily routine to give the newbies a framework to orient themselves in.

For the girls' new mummy, so she has all their history.

Both Sarah and Elizabeth have stories behind their rescue.

They've both been popcorning this morning and making some lovely noises, sarahs wheeks everytime I walk past her lol, so I end up with the dr open and talking to her and sniffing my hand,it's put a huge smile on my face! There coming out for a cuddle today as Elizabeth's been coming out from the hammock more.
