Hello everyone!
Hope all is okay on the forum, I’ve peaked on the forum a couple of times while I was in the U.K. for 3 weeks but not taken much in, so I hope everyone and their piggies are okay :)

We had a wonderful time visiting our families and some friends, 4 years was a long time without seeing anyone. Especially as we moved here without knowing that was what we’d end up doing when we left England to re-visit Australia.
But everything and everyone was exactly the same, nobody had changed at all and it was lovely. The only thing I felt was different was how busy everywhere is! The roads are mental! Maybe it was like that 4-5 years ago, and I’ve just forgot as I’m now use to much quieter Australian rural roads!

The house sitter went well with all the animals. We were so happy to be greeted by Fergus, our dog when we got back last night.

We picked the piggies up from their holiday home this evening. They were looked after very well and settled in very quickly. She emailed me with piggy hellos regularly :D
We are planning on doing up the pig room soon, today we ripped out the weird shelving unit that was in the corner it’s left quite a mess to the wall but we had to rush out to pick the pigs up so will have to wait until we have free time to tidy up and re-paint etc. plus the fireplace needs to come out too.
I’m also trialing the cages with woodchip instead of fleece, But already I’m thinking it won’t work as I used up a 15kg bag wood shavings today, and I’ve even made the cages smaller to see if it makes it more manageable..but now I’m looking at all that wood shavings knowing how much of a mess it’s going to be to fully clean out next week!
The pigs settled straight back in at home, wheeking for their dinner almost immediately 🤨

please excuse the state of the wall!

I feel guilty making their cages smaller! But hopefully they haven’t noticed!

And Fergus with his new toys from England.
A burger because his nickname is ‘burger’ (don’t ask!)
And a dinosaur because his other nickname Is…. ‘Ferga-saurus-rex’ (again don’t ask! I know we’re weird! 🤣)
