Perhaps you can help us now that you are relaxed after your holiday.
Our cage keeps shrinking- despite us keeping a careful eye on the slave at cage cleaning time she keeps sneaking bits of our cage away.
At this rate there won’t be enough room for us to turn around.

This simply will not do! We need to establish why your Slave keeps shrinking your cage and why she thinks it's a good idea and what you can do to tell her it isn't. Clearly my advice to you before hasn't worked on your stupid Slave or she wouldn't be making your accommodation smaller.

I've thought about the reasons why your cage is getting smaller and I think your Slave is gradually getting you used to a (considerably) smaller cage so that when you move next July, you won't notice that you won't have a room to yourselves any more and you will just have your cage in the Kitchen or wherever its going (if this does indeed happen we will face that problem together).

Right let's focus on your dilemma now. You need to persist on wheeking at every opportunity as loudly as possible where your cage was but isn't anymore. Go to where the new end of where your cage now stops and scream at the top of your lungs to tell your Slave you need your cage back. This next bit is going to be hard, but you need to give your Slave the silent treatment whenever you hear the keys in the front door and whenever you know food is on the way or if your food is everso slightly late. That way your Slave will know you are very unhappy with the way you are being made to live in such a tiny space.
