I'm back...

[Beans&Toast]

Hi everyone

So I've been away from the forum for quite a while as I've had a lot going on with work and looking after my mum who's ill. I also found it quite difficult coming on here after losing Toast. It's coming up to the 1 year mark since I lost Toast and I can honestly say it hasn't got any easier at all, I still miss her every day all day.


So a quick update:
Beans is almost 7 years old, the arthritis in her legs and hips is getting worse, she's deaf and almost blind but you'd never know it the way she struts about the place. She does sleep a lot and is getting quite grumpy in her old age but apart from that she's a happy pig.


Maple is around 18 months now. She's such a crazy little pig, runs and zooms around the place. She was getting on really well with Beans until recently, I think it's because as Beans is getting older she just wants to sleep but Maple wants to be wild so I'm going to get another young pig for her to play with.

You would never guess Beans is 7!

she's lost some of her colour and has a funny walk due to the arthritis but yeah she's still doing well,will come running for veggies no problem x

Sorry to hear you are still struggling with the loss of Miss Toast, it is hard and I understand that coming onto the forum can be both a blessing and a curse in equal amounts after a loss.

Hope your Mom is doing okay, it really is lovely to have you back on TGPF
