Hiya I'm back from my travels back to Manchester. My home town looks fantastic and is a shoppers paradise. It was good to see family and friends. I hadn't been back for 20 years so there was a lot to catch up with.
I left my precious boys with a friend and she looked after them well. She told me they didn't eat for 2 days or come out of their house but after that they were fine. I was a bit worried if they would do the same when they came home but they settled straight away.
I do feel terribly guilty about one thing though. When they were a few months old I had taught them to stand on their back legs as though begging for food. Sir David loved doing it but Columbo didn't so I never made him do it. After about a month of Sir David doing this I had a total rethink and thought that it was a bit demeaning so I stopped doing it with Sir David. When we went away I had not done it with Sir David for a good few months anyway when we brought them home, every time I go in the room he stands on his back legs as though saying look at me mum I'm trying to please you. Every time I bring food or water he goes straight up on his back legs like a meercat. I feel so awful. They obviously didn't know I was coming back for them when I left them for our holidays. I was really sad and was ringing to see how they were getting on. I drove my friend mad. I really missed their fuzzy faces. I keep stroking Sir David and reassuring him and talking to him but he keeps doing his party trick. I feel so guilty.
