I took a look at C&G cages via a link on one of the threads here, anyhow I clicked on another link which took me to piggies for sale, someone is selling young pregnant females! How can they just sell a preg piggie to someone who may not even know how to care for the mum and her young, some of the adverts were upsetting, even the "free to good home", if you ring up how the heck do they know if yours is a good home? I'm sad now :'( :'( :'(

that is sooooo rude the pigs could die if someone did not know what they were doing! :tickedoff: >:(

Well better than them being dumped at the side of the road. Its very hard trying to rehome or find homes as many people just take a trip to a pet shop for a small furry pet. When I was looking last summer there were no piggies at all in the local papers and none in the local rescue at all. About a fornight after I got ours the rescue called to say she had some and I spotted 20 odd in the free ads paper that were for sale and some free to good homes. I would of called them had they been in when I was looking.
I brought my piggies from a farm park in the end as the boys really had waited a very long time (3years) to be exact.

I saw these ads the other day on a classified site called Vivastreet. The ads state that they are due to give birth in the next week or two, they are not trying to cut down on numbers as they state that they will be willing to swap for a different breed or a younger guinea pig. They are charging £30 each, and even state in the ad that they are a bargain as you can sell the babies on after and make a profit.

Its really sad :'( :'( Wonder what will become of her babies :'( :'(
