I am not happy! It's not fair! I did a lot of hard work yesterday (getting up a 6 am to clean bathroom, downstairs loo, ensuite) clean out piggies and do veg for 11 people. Today apart from OH getting up at 6.30 to turn on oven to cook turkey and carving it I did everything else! Then when rellies finally go home and I can relax with a glass of champagne I am out voted on what I wanted to watch on TV! I wanted to watch Dr Who from earlier today but oh no the men wanted to watch some rubbish Jackie Chan film on Netflix! Then I get complaints about the fact I am chatting to my friends on the Forum! Honestly I can't win! I did all the hard work today but do I get any thanks for that er NO! Sometimes I feel like I am taken for granted!

Stand up to them!
Don’t let men RULE you!
Imagine not allowing you to watch your programmes after all that cooking for them!
Go on strike!
Just feed the piggies.
Tell them we are all cross with them on the Forum.
That should scare them! Lol xx

Oh no... sounds like you need to get stuck into the bottle of champers tonight & let others do all work tomorrow while you put your feet up, relax & cuddle your piggies xx and anyway.. we’re more fun on the forum than doctor who so there’s a plus at least

I didn't have much choice on the rubbish film though. They voted 3 to 1 against! and so on went the Jackie Chan film. When I protested and said I wanted to watch Dr Who the reply was "You can watch that tomorrow Dr Who is rubbish!" I like Dr Who and I may not want to watch it tomorrow. I kept on protesting throughout the film but they didn't get the hint! If I go on strike everyone would starve! and we would have one messy house!

I have got stuck into the bottle of champers @Hoppity.K don't you worry about that! If I let the others do the work tomorrow nothing would get done at all!

Quite agree with you Kath!

Men are so frustrating. My OH decided to bail on going with us to my grandparents for xmas day and decided he just wanted to spend the day at home watching movies so i wasn't in the mood to argue and just left him there with his leftover pasta from the night before for xmas dinner and a packet of biscuits for dessert lol. He sent me texts all day wanting to know when we were coming home because he was bored.

Serves him right! He’ll learn that he can’t just always do what he wants or suffer the consequences! No Christmas dinner!

Well that's his fault! He chose not to come with you and be anti-social!

Tell them straight, they can do it all next year! ;) Don’t fret dear, have a hug  xx

Oi, not all of us are! :box: :raz:
:)):))

Quite right Tim! Don’t lump all of us into the same basket. I worked really hard all day yesterday, making sure that my son could properly enjoy his new Xbox, and have someone to play with, so he didn’t get bored. It’s a tough job, but someone’s got to do it! :)) :raz:

May have to do the same again today...:clap:

I would tell them how upset you are, you deserve to be waited on hand and foot after everything you did!

@Tim We all know that all men aren't the same, don't worry! My hubby is amazing and I also know lots of other men and hubbies that are.

Go on admit it..... You bought your son his Xbox for you!

Yep it was the best one in a long time! I can't wait for the new series. Hopefully with a new writer and Jodie Whittaker as the Dr it will have better story lines.
Might have a look at it if you are recommending it! Lol

I'm very lucky with my OH as he loves to cook a roast dinner and always takes charge of he Christmas dinner. I did zero for yesterday's meal as he said he could prepare it all while I cleaned the piggies out and did their weekly health check. He also bakes tablet and butter tarts every year too!

Dont you watch stuff online? I watch everything online because usually others want to watch something else, or at a different time to me, and I can't hear the telly very well. It also allows me to miss any adverts or whatever.

Not to worry, you can catch up with the Doctor on BBC iplayer ;) I haven't watched it yet, but with about 9 months until the series starts, what's the hurry... As for the men of the house, tell them you want some you time, and show them the kitchen

Nice idea @BonBon2010 unfortunately non of the men in this house knows there is a kitchen! Food just appears like magic in front of them! I have tried very hard to teach them what a kitchen is for and failed miserably! My middle son (who doesn't live at home at the mo as he at Uni) does know what a kitchen is used for and is a very good cook (must take after his Mum!).

They'd soon learn if food didn't appear for them lol!
