yeah a big change from my downer last week, I'm feeling really happy today! just had an email from a lady who used to keep rabbits and piggys, apparantly i rehomed some piggys from a friend of hers (must have been the 'breeder'?). she stopped keeping animals this year and has just got rid of her last rabbits. She heard about the 'nice thing I'm doing' taking in peoples unwanted animals, and has offered me all of her cages and hutches/equipment, for free! she's bringing them round today and I'm bouncing around like a kid at christmas..i cant wait to see what she brings! the piggys are gonna be in heaven! its my birthday tomorrow and it feels like a big birthday present has come a day early! hee hee!

OOH how nice! Let us know what you get for your rescues!

first car full has arrived.....shes gone off to fill the car again!

hmm just measured the smaller hutches, they are only 85x45cm, is that not a little too small for a pair of guineas, or will they do for babies/sleeping quarters?

wow looking great, the smaller hutches could be used for piggies on their own, or if their ill or you could connect them together ie/take legs off and join them with a run between them and a house either end

Oh, wow! That's brilliant.

I wish I had the room to set up my own piggy rescue. I'd LOVE to do it. It makes me so happy to see you doing something so wonderful :) Yay you!

I've got the time just not the space :( But one day, I'm sure that'll change.

I still can't believe you're getting it for free! That's just amazing. This stuff would normally cost a fortune. You'll have some extra lucky piggies. Not only will you be saving them and giving them a better life but they'll have nice hutches, too!
You can't beat that :(|)

A random act of kindness to prove the world is not quite so awful as sometimes it feels...this kind of thing restores my faith in humankind :))

That's so lucky! I'm so glad for you and all little animals you will help. Small cages can be useful too, for sick animals or for shorter stays/quarantine if they get floortime.
