I've just had a text from the girl I literally 'rescued' my piggy Gilbert from, saying that she has seen the pictures of my Hutches and is reporting me to the RSPCA!

Like what?!

For starters, I don't know how she has the balls to say that after he came to me with Mange mites, overgrown teeth AND nails!

He was also living on his own, well not anymore... since I've had him and got over his health issues he's been living with my rex piggy Leo!

They are both in a 4ft double tier hutch!

ZOMGGGGG I'm so peeved off right now.

He came to me in a 4ft single hutch from pets at home, the guinea pig den or whatever it was called.

What the hell is she complaining about silly girl - they are lovely and roomy! id report her for the bad health her piggy was in!
 
if the RSPCA do follow it up, you have nothing to worry about. Also I imagine you have the vet records for when he was treated? which will show them the state he came to you in.

Don't worry, nothing will come of it!
 
Did you take any pictures of Gilbert when you first rescued him? If so, you can use them against her, after all, she would look a right t** if you were to post pictures of the conditions she had him in, with her in the same picture...
And I would also report her for cruelty.. Tell her to keep her nose out, then she can keep her unjust dignity grrrr

Yes and then say that you would like to report her for neglect as you have vet record's to prove it
 
Your set up is great and the hutch is plenty big enough for 2 boars. If the RSPCA do follow her complaint up, you have nothing to worry about.

Sounds like a trouble causer to me. Ignore the silly girl
 
I would tell her she is more then welcome to, and tell her you will be showing the officers the medical proof of the state he was in when you had him off her, I imagine that would soon shut her up. Sounds to me like jealousy tbh, I doubt she would actually try to report you for that setup xx
 
I fully agree with what everyone has said.

Block her number from your phone or change your number. She has no right to say these things after the state that poor piggie was in.

Also, as the others have suggested, report her to the RSPCA. Does she have other pets? if so, there's a fair chance they're in a sorry state as well.
 
Completely agree with what others have said.

Invite the RSPCA in with no fear, if she has/does report you, because you have evidence they are being well looked after. You have nothing to hide.

They're already busy enough with serious complaints so I hope this girl doesn't actually contact them because that's a sick thing to do when there are animal genuinely needing help out there and they're called out because of idiots like her!
 
what a stupid *****! pardon my french.
i wouldn't worry about it too much if i were you though. you obviously take extremely good care of your animals, and the rspca would have to be struck blind deaf and dumb, to not see that.
 
Agree with what everyone has said. I would almost encourage her to send the RSPCA round then you can drop her in it and discuss how neglected he was before you took him on.

There's nothing wrong with your set up - In fact one of my hutches is the same as one of your single ones (The one at the top of the stack of three) and I keep a boar and his wife in there at night and during the winter.
 
Just wanted to say I agree with absolutley everything everyone else has said and your set up looks fine to me but i understand your anger and worry.

If you have to see or speak to her, do tell her you'll be reporting her for neglect, this can see a person banned from keeping animals for 5 years or more, i think.

Oh and then tell the stupid moo you'll be reporting HER to the POLICE for SLANDER. See how she likes THAT. pow-pow
 
your cages look fine to me - she just being immature cos deep down .............she knows .............she was the one ............who needed reporting about to rspca :a19: cos of what you say bad teeth nails and mange.............she just being childish and trying to scare you.

Dont worry hun you have lovely space for your babies :))
