It looks like the boys have really bonded finally, after 10 months together! Peanut Butter always wanted to be around Hazelnut, but Hazelnut, while not aggressive to PB, could best be said to just tolerate him. Usually when PB wanted to snuggle with Hazelnut, H would just move away to somewhere else.
Monday PB had to go in for his regular dental treatment. Well, the pining from Hazelnut! He stopped eating, wouldn't even eat grass, and just wanted to snuggle into my chin. I got quite concerned after he hadn't eaten a thing for 2 hours and was on the verge of syringing him when he finally accepted some dandelion leaves. After that he also agreed to nibble on a bit of cos lettuce from my hand. So for 4 hours until the vet called I got nothing done (I work from home) as I had to keep snuggling Hazelnut.
PB goes in for dental work at least once a month and Hazelnut never exhibited any distress before. So, for the first time I took Hazelnut with me to pick up PB at the vet's. The minute I popped him into the same carrier PB was in, it was instant snuggling together. The vet said it looks like I may have to bring them both in future and I agreed.
