I'm taking on more piggys later today

Hubby was listening to the local radio when he heard a lady call to say she was over run with pigs and that wants to rehome 14 of them, I spoke to her and she said the babys were in with mum at 8 weeks I did explain that its likely mum and prob some of the sisters would now be pregnant and she should really tell any new owners she approves of, that little fact, she was shocked but seems a very nice lady, basically she sexed them wrong and ended up with 14 babies with no room ,I told her if anyone else is ok with her to rehome any pigs then fine but i'm going there after 5 to take the remaining ones, dont know how many I will end up with but when I told her my set up she asked me to take them all as they would be loved and spoiled , I do have room as i have recently lost a few , the girls will go fine in the hugh run and any baby boys would be introduced to my ones on their own or who I know would accept another male baby, let you know later the details,

goodness me no, any pigs that come through my door stay for life will be off in a mo to collect them,
 
good luck michelle , i never ceased to be amazed at wot nice piggie people there are in the world ! good luck , i too find it so hard to rehome any of mine... they stay & get spoilt !
 
I got 5, 2 girls one aged about 8 months she has had a litter and I have her 3 sons as well, they are 7 weeks and another little girl aged 6 weeks, we've called the older mum Evee after my little girl we lost last year and the baby girl Lacey, the 3 boys are Richie Tico and Murphy, the lady was so amazed when I sexed the pigs so easily, she did indeed have the sons my 3 in with 2 mums and another little girl oops, I said any worrys to call me , she still has 2 baby girls another lady wants tomorrow but this lady had brought 2 baby pigs and one died the other is sneezing so I said please dont rehome them with her if she has ill pigs she said she might be calling me to have the girls as well, I told her a few facts about pigs etc which she was pleased about, she has loads of land with shetlands and goats and pigs pink ones, her pigs are much loved but are housed in a metal framed wire walled shed with chickens, but they are seperate I did tell her its not ideal but they are kept together safe from the foxes , have just ivomeced them all boys in together in a new run in the shed girls in a run until they then will go in with girls, piccys as soon as i can get them to stand still not been held much and very nervy , they are adorable my numbers are now up to 33, all thanks to my hubby ahhh bless him he said he did'nt want the babys to go to just anyone, she said she will phone Isle of wight radio tomorrow and thank me sweet
 
That is wonderful news,well done to hubby too what a gr8 man you've got there!! :)
 
Good for you. Lucky guineas. And your husband deserves a big pat on the back too. Some men would've kept quiet!

yeah we got Jovi as well, but Jon and David did'nt seem like piggy names lol
I think Micks a gr8 hubby too thats why I've been with him over 28 years he gets me the pigs sacks of food and their veggies when he passes the veggie shops ,
 
LOL I couldn't call a piggy Jon either or David for that matter! :) You beat me to the whole group :P LOL

well if I cant have the real thing I got the next best, mini richie is better then nothing lol
 
I'd like to think so apparently Richie is a very warm loving man so yes I think so, have you seen him dancing with jon and Richies daughter Ava on you tube, just go on youtube and put in Ava sambora and bon jovi its great,
