I'm worried about cindy, we had her in the garden yesterday and in the garden I've got a run i made from two old drawers, yesterday she jumped out of it because she must of seen some tasty grass but i think she may have hurt her leg.

Its her back left leg, she has it like / in the air and her middle toe seems a little bit swollen and harder compared to the opposite one.

She's eating and everything, but she hasnt really been moving much, and when she does its only to get comfy.

I had her out before and i put her at one end of the cage, and the sort of squirmed and walked a bit limpy to her favourite bit.

Is she just resting her foot until it gets better? She's hurt it before like this.
Any advice would be much appreaciated.

She probably has a break. Keep her as quiet and confined as you can for the moment and see a vet tomorrow.

Sorry to hear Cindy's hurt herself. As Wiebke says, probably best to limit movement by keeping her in a smaller space until you can get to a vets. Let us know how she gets on.

:)

Sorry to hear Cindy has a problem with her leg.

Does she display any signs of pain or discomfort when you touch her leg? I would be inclined to give a dose of pain relief if she shows any signs of a waning appetite; pain can stop a pig eating, so be sure she does carry on otherwise ok.

She's in her cage like usual, munching on hay. I left her with a big chunk of celery before and it's all gone. She dosent squeal or anything when I touch it, I was thinking she may have stood on something sharp in the garden or maybe even a midge bit her :/

thanks for your help guys, I'll keep you informed :)

Hey, today cindys been putting a little bit of weight on her foot but she's hopping a little bit and she's still resting it. It's nowhere as near as bad as it was yesterday. Thanks for commenting :)

btw, when I had her out this morn she ran away from me when I tried to pick her up, which i'm happy she was walking :)

phew!
