One of the 30 snake-rescues has some bum problems. His poo gets stuck in his anal sack, but it's not just the soft edible ones, like it normally is for I.R. all poops get stuck too, making it look like a barrel of a gun if that description makes any sense...

Anyone has any ideas on how to help him aport from lots of hay and helping him get it out several times a day?

That's all you can do really, lots of exercise may strengthen the muscles generally but no guarantees it would make any difference. Whoever takes him on will need to be able to hold their nose several times a day! :)

ok, we'll try to get him in with some active pig to keep him up and running :). The think is it's not the regular sticky stuff that's super smelly, it's just regular formed poop-pellets that gets stuck side by side instead of drop to the floor...

i once knew of another boar this happened too it was like he couldnt poop it all collected in his bum all you can do is empty it 3 times a day or more there isnt anything you can do about it,just 1 of them things x

Peanut had an extra large poop stuck sideways the other day, he's a relentless bottom dragger, but since unjamming it, he's been fine. Though I am keeping an eye on it, I'm hoping it's not the start of impaction problems for him.

I have a pig at the moment with both hard and soft impaction, not sure if it helped but seemed to is just dip his bottom and back legs in warm water (also handy to give him a quick wash). I have done this every other day as well as manually emptying.
