I have just been reading a guinea wiggie website and it mentioned about impaction in boars and having to empty the anal sacks?

I have never read this before so just wanted to check it out with you guys?

Impaction can happen; especially in older boars. It is not a pleasant task and it need to be performed daily.

Having a regular check on your boy's bits doesn't hurt.

Here is more information about impaction:

I have Nigel who is now eight months. Is there any signs when it needs doing? At what age do you have to start and how do I know how to do it?

It should only need doing if there is a problem. Most boars don't have problems with impaction. If you handle him and check his bits regularly you should notice if there is a problem. I have a boar with me who gets impacted. The obvious sign for this is when I examined his bottom area it was very enlarged and I could feel a hard lump inside his anal sack. When squeezed gently the soft poo came out.

The link Wiebke posted is a good one to look at form more information.
