Hi,
My male Guinea Pig, Samson, is 6 years old and has recently developed impaction. I am currently having to clean his sack out 2 - 3 time a day. This has been going on for around 6 weeks now. Does this seem like a little much? I had another guinea who also had this problem but he only needed cleaned once a week. Poor Samson gets so uncomfortable and makes little whimpering noises when his sack is full. I feel so bad for him
He is eating and drinking normally (has actually gained weight since his last vet appointment), exercises regularly and gets his daily cuddles. Other than his impaction he is a happy healthy guy. I have a vet appointment scheduled for Monday morning so hopefully they have some advice. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you,
