Hi,

My male Guinea Pig, Samson, is 6 years old and has recently developed impaction. I am currently having to clean his sack out 2 - 3 time a day. This has been going on for around 6 weeks now. Does this seem like a little much? I had another guinea who also had this problem but he only needed cleaned once a week. Poor Samson gets so uncomfortable and makes little whimpering noises when his sack is full. I feel so bad for him :( He is eating and drinking normally (has actually gained weight since his last vet appointment), exercises regularly and gets his daily cuddles. Other than his impaction he is a happy healthy guy. I have a vet appointment scheduled for Monday morning so hopefully they have some advice. Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Thank you,

Jody & Samson x
