I popped into my local Pampurred Pets yesterday to get something for the piggies and as usual I went to see who they had in residence piggy wise. There were no piggies out so I mentioned it to a girl who works there and she said that they had them but they were out the back being treated for ringworm. She put it down to the flood they had a few weeks ago (I didn't believe the flood bit I reckon they came to her from the breeder like that tbh). She said that they had had them round the back for 3-4 weeks and that they wouldn't be put out on the shop floor until they were totally clear of it.

I also mentioned, in passing, that I wanted another girly to add to my 5 to make a nice round 6 (I don't btw but just wanted to see what she would say as I have the highly unusual situation of 2 boys living in harmony with 3 girls) and she said that I shouldn't do that as then the bond I have could well be broken and to leave things as they are. Well I was most impressed! Most pet shops would just try and sell you a guinea pig and tell all sorts of lies. The training that they get must be good.

Wow that is pretty rare to find someone who really cares about the animals and not just about profit, which is sad when you think about it.
