Danielle Smith
Teenage Guinea Pig
Tubs has been extremely ill for the past three weeks. We've had to feed him around the clock, something really tricky given his anorexia brought on by the illness or the antibiotics given to cure it.
However, in the past few days he's been improving a tiny amount; taking syringe feed more easily, eating some lettuce, eating a couple strands of hay, poops are a slightly better shape.
I caught him looking really comfortable tonight (second photo) and just thought that even though things are still very much on a knife edge, he's come so far since Saturday past, where he didn't want to eat or move and just wanted to burrow himself into my chest (first photo).
Keep on truckin' little dude.
