I've just phoned my vet to have one of my piggies stool tested for parasites, yeast, bacteria etc (she's losing weight despite a normal appetite, extremely soft, clumpy poop for 3 weeks) and they said they will do an 'in house' test meaning they don't have to send the samples off. I just want to check here that this is ok, does the poop need to be sent off to the lab or is an in house testing ok? Does anyone know what vets routinely look for? I asked them to test for bacteria, yeast and parasites specifically but I don't know if I said the right things. My brain is all stressed out and mushed at the moment! :mal::help:
