Teenage Guinea Pig
In memory of my three former guinea pigs, Chestnut, Simon and Aaron. (Pictured in that order).
About Chestnut- My first piggie. I got him for free from a pet shop. He was alone in a small cage. When he came home he ate so much hay, it was unbelievable. They must have not given him enough food. He lived a long healthy life, died of old age.
About Simon- Chestnut seemed to need a friend, so I adopted Simon when he was young. Simon had two brothers named Alvin and Theodore (from the chipmunks movie) who went to different homes. Chestnut and Simon didn't always get along, had to get two different food bowls and water bottles because Chestnut would guard them. When Simon was 2 he became very ill. He wasn't eating. The vet performed dental surgery as we thought it was a tooth problem. He still refused even syringe feeding and died shortly after. Chestnut was a loner again.
About Aaron- I was actually considering getting a rat but my parents said no. Then I saw Aaron up for adoption online. I adopted him the day I filled out the adoption application. He was the only piggie in the shelter and he'd been there a while was not played with much due to the shelter owner's allergies. His cage was also filthy when I got him. They shelter did he didn't get along with other piggies in the past so he'd be best as a single pig. I gave him a much better life and he lived happily into old age.
I miss you all. Currently pigless, dog has allergies to hay and bedding. Sorry for rambling.

Aaaah, beautiful boys very badly missed. Aaron is my Suzie (avatar) with a tufty coat!
