In Out In Out... 2 Diff Places To Stay

Hi just a quick one. I have my two guineas in the garage. It's fine in there I put a heater on when it gets chilly in the day . thing is no day light. So I've bought a cage that I've put in the small room by the garage.. they have daylight but it's the 120 fareplast so not as big as the garage one which I can't move it's too big. While it's been colder... I've been moving them for the day from the garage to the other room. Will this disturb them too much I'm thinking? They know both cages well. Just can't have them in this room when my hubby works there but I can get away with it 3 days a week . Then they stay in the garage for the other days. Also when's best to have them in the room... first I thought in the day when they can get natural light but they not very active ... at night they are when the garage is colder but then no daylight... decisions decisions haha

Could you get a daylight bulb for the garage?

Hey there, personally for me it's all about the temperature. Swinging temperatures are a real issue. Can cause problems such as fungal. So the daylight issue can I believe be overcome with daily floor time. The issue for me is changing temperatures.

To be honest at nite in the house the temp drops while we are all in bed. Last year they were in the room as it wasnt being used and in the morning the temp dropped to about 10 deg or even a little under.. i always try and keep the garage above this when I'm there. The garage is colder than the house though. I do have a bulb in the garage that stays on all day... then a nite light goes on at bedtime to show that it's night for them too. I just thought they needed daylight. They get floor time but if we have a lot going on at the hosp this could only be once in the week. But again that's bringing them in from the garage.. is that ok? .... I've just come back from hols where they stayed with my neighbour but she had them inside so I thought that a bit inside and a bit garage would help... also ones about to start metacam and critical care as she has dental treatment before I went and she seems to be eating slow again so looks like another filing job to come... her teeth are growing crooked
