By reading info. on this forum I think one of my piggies is in season, she keeps chasing the other one round the cage, sniffing her bum and making a funny sound?!

If she was pregnant would she still do this? I am trying to convince myself that they are NOT pregnant as I really don't want them to be because they are babies themselves.

No, they are both female, I went through the panic of thinking I had one of each just after I got them!

I put a picture of their bits on here a few days ago to get that clarified :))

Yes - as we speak one of my girls is in season and is doing this too. She's also definitely NOT pregnant, just in season.

Girls in season oftern behave like a male - even climbing their partner. It's usually over within a day, and tomorrow you may see your girls cuddle a lot to reaffirm their bond.

A girl come into season every 15-17 days. It lasts about 14-15 hours, the last two or so being when she is ready to mate.

The good news: a girl in season is NOT pregnant!

PS: If you are worried about her friend, one of the best ways to check is comparing their nipples of the course of the next few weeks - if her companion's start to grow and look swollen, then she is most surely pregnant. The other is to compare their weekly weight gain.
