In which room in the house is your guinea pig cage?

This is their cage set up this week...I move things round and put different stuff in to keep in interesting.

Underneath the green fleece is a wooden bar which sits over the edges of the plastic base. It has a groove in it too so that the divider can slot in. My husband also made some wooden panels to hold the sides together properly.

That looks really spacious! Lovely job. I have about half that room in my office! :-/ So that very long one at the back - (or are they both the same?), is it the Ferplast Plaza 160 cage?

It's 2 Ferplast Plazas...but each half is only the 120cm portion from each cage. I couldn't get the extra 40cm sections in for each boy too unfortunately.

Corner of the dining room since October, they have a hutch outside and will attach a run to it so they can be in and out of it on the grass as they choose. Fingers crossed from April onwards they will go out again, we will miss having thhem inside, but it will be nice for them and they do love it!

They started off in the shed, 25 years ago, with a playpen in the living room for the evenings. That didn't last long (about a fortnight) and then they were in my bedroom for many years. I have three bedrooms so could have put them out of the way, but I wanted them close by. Then about 5 or 6 years ago I tried moving them to the living room and I realised how much priceless guinea pig behaviour I'd been missing. An absolutely huge jumpy popcorn sticks in my mind.

I'm sure visitors think I'm loopy setting aside a large portion of my living room for the piggies, but they're family and entitled to their space. One thing I've noticed is that being able to watch the piggies' antics in the living room means I don't cuddle them quite as much as I used . They might be happy with that though!

I wouldn't mind too much about the everyday living room noises. I am grateful that in this solidly built Victorian house, they haven't worked out the fridge noise even after all this time. The noise of hay being collected from their Hay Box however results in screaming and pacing about. I'd never change a thing about them xx

Mine also in the living room and give us much entertainment altho they always decide to gnaw wood very loudly when you're trying to watch something lol. They were outside in summer about a week, then the garage for about 2 weeks then in lounge ever since, taking up third of the space and outing the xmas tree cos they nabbed that corner lol

Mine are in the pig room. It was a dining room once upon a time, but we gave it over to the piggies a few years ago, and it’s much better used as their room.

I have five boars (trio in 4x5 with 1x5 hayloft and pair in 5x3 with 1x3 hayloft) in what was once my bedroom but now is my sort of living room (I live with my parents) and three boars in my bedroom (was my brother's bedroom) in a 4x5 with 1x5 hayloft but I am not a big fan of having them in my bedroom... one is a bar chewer, the only bar chewer I've had, and I swear he keeps me awake on purpose! They were never meant to be in my bedroom but kind of invaded 😕

Kitchen, by the back door, lots of natural light. On rainy days we sit on the doormat and look out at the world...
