Junior Guinea Pig
Our lone boar Ozzie was introduced to our herd of three girls at 6 weeks post-neuter. They have now been together 2 weeks.
However, he is still so incessant and overbearing. I assumed that he would be very dominating for a few days, before it would die down. But after two weeks, he is still mounting and humping, chasing etc the girls, and they let out the most awful screams of submission all day and night long. It’s like the moment he wakes up, he has to hump/bother the girls.
They have plenty of space (way over the minimum floor space), loads of hideys with multiple exits etc. He’s about to turn 2 years old, and he’s just as horny as he was when he was a young hormonal boar. My other neutered boar and his lady friend are so calm and peaceful, with the odd rumble strut here and there but nothing mire. Ozzie is a while other level of pest.
Will this get better? Or is this quite normal?
