Hi! I know I'm not on here much - :red - life is too busy lol! But anyway; the piggles moved outside in August. When I say 'outside' their hutch is inside a brick built shed and we have used high quality insulation on the external wall (the other walls have other sheds attached to them). The window in there is double-glazed too. The shed has electricity so am planning to get a tube heater or two for them to keep the chill from the air. Plus a Snugglesafe of course.

But it's obviously never going to be quite as warm as being indoors! I know that it's best to increase their food intake to help them cope with the cold weather - but how much by? They have veggies twice a day and get Science Selective pellets in the evening.

Thank you for any help! x

When my boys lived in their shed, I gave them unlimited pellets and a serving of porriage oates daily, alongside mountains of hay to keep their energy levels up :)

Thank you very much. Oh they already get mountains of hay - it's topped up all the time. The Wheeliebin with hay in (we buy it by the bale as we have two rabbits as well) is right next to their hutch lol. :))

Another question..... does anyone think there is a better food out there for winter weather than Supreme Science Selective? Happy to move on to something else if there's something better / more appropriate for colder months.
