Hi, my daughter has brought her 4 pigs in for winter, 2 girls each in two hutches. She has had to bring the hutches in and put them in the spare bedroom of her new house. She thinks they seem 'cooped up' in the hutches now they are indoors, even though she lets them out to play lots. She can't afford cages so I thought I could maybe help out. I am looking for a Nero 4 for the big two girls and a Nero 3 for the two baby girls. (She can't do C * C cos of the cat and it just isn't the right room). Where is the absolute cheapest to buy these. I am looking on e bay, but that takes time. Any ideas? thanks. x

Can she not extend the existing hutches somehow, or use a mesh run attached to them? That might be cheaper than buying indoor cages. They often appear on freeads or pre-loved, might be worth a look there. How big are the hutches they are in?

Not really, because the run would be on the carpet, and there isn't really the spreading out room. The hutches are 4' long each. one on top of the other at the mo. x

I have the same problem as mine need to go in a bigger indoor cage. They will be ok for a month or so as they are still small. I have a friend that goes to a market that sells all sorts of animal stuff so hes going to have a look for me. He said he has seen them for about £15. I am too after the nero 4 for my boys.

Well this next one has to be a Nero 4 really cos Nutmeg and Doughball are chunky (fat!) I guess around £45 and she doesn't need a stand. x

Bummer! I have just had an e mail from the seller. She said she made a mistake, and it was a Nero 2, so I could have £6 off the price. Told her no good for two piggies even though they are still young and small. Oh well, time for a bath I think. x

I have a Nero 3 on a stand with that Ferplast 100 Sunshine on the top of it and I have just measured them both and the Nero 3 is an inch or two longer but the Ferplast Sunshine is wider than the Nero 3 so I think that the Sunshine one would be a good buy because if you are a new customer you would get another £3.59 off that price so would be a lot cheaper than the Nero 3 cage.:)
