i live in a shared house, and my piggies share my room with me. their two-storey hutch takes up a large portion of my wall, and there's enough floor space in front of it for me to make them a nice indoor run (as long as i don't have to leave the room, it blocks the door!)
i've managed to find an old sheet to cover the floor with, and plenty of cardboard boxes and whatnot. thing is, right now i'm having to use DVDs, books, and an old Argos catalogue to section off their floorspace and prevent them getting lost under my bed.
i can't keep taking DVDs and books off my shelves and putting them back on... and i don't have the money right now to buy one of the special indoor runs on ebay- the ones without a top.
does anyone have any suggestions as to anything i could get to section it off that's piggy friendly?
haha, i just twitched and misspelled a word cos a pig ran past the bottom of my bed and hit my foot =D
 
i have seen an in door run with out a top on it at pets at home and i dont think it was that much money

do you have some one you know who could make you somthing?
 
A few people have used wire cooling trays, 99p from Wilkinsons, tied together with string or cable ties to make runs and barriers. It's cheap and very effective. xx

i'm sure i've seen it before on a website somewhere, it's the stuff you can clip together to make it, so you can shape it how you want.
 
These are c & c frames. Take a look at the housing thread sticky on this. Got mine from B & Q They are £22.98 per pack complete with connectors, and they are mega easy to put together (seconds), I change shapes of mine regularly, use a little one to put pigs in when cleaning if don't have too much time to chase them round the house and even in the garden. xx
 
ps should have mentioned B & Q thought I was off my trolley when I asked for metal mesh rack things to make up a guinea pig enclosure! It took ages to find the right names, Helen got it for me, then it was easy, so I kept the box:

You might like to get some plastic sheeting to put underneath your sheet - at least for the toilet corner and where they prefer to have their lie-downs. That way, you can always wipe any messes off, and there is no danger of anything seeping into the carpet.

I use kitchen cupboard liner (rationell variera) from Ikea which has little nobs on the surface, so any fabric overlay doesn't slide around. One roll costs only £2-3 I think. If you got old vests or towels or rags, they make good "nests" for bedding and peeing.
 
^^ it looks really good, can you actually make cages like the one in the video? my pigs would love something like that and so would i! =D

Yes you can be really creative with them. Lots to look at on the c & c thread in housing. x
