Hi there,

Haven't be around on the forum for ages but I'm back again now!

I'm interested in upgrading the indoor run that I have for my piggies to something that can be used both indoors and outdoors. I've had a look around and found this - http://www.amazon.co.uk/VivaPet-Out...qid=1395574305&sr=8-1&keywords=guinea+pig+run
The run would mainly be used indoors with supervision at all times but if the weather ever improves I am hoping to be able to get them outdoors a bit more. I was thinking that to ensure it is secure I could purchase some metal ground pegs to hook onto the run and into the ground. The safety net would most definitely be used when they are outside but I wasn't sure how secure this looked?

Has anyone used one of these runs before or what do you think about it?
Many thanks, any opinions on this would be appreciated!

I would be worried about just having a net. There is one in argos that is square and has pegs provided. You could probably make a lid or you can buy fully enclosed ones where the roof lifts off so you wouldn't need it on in the house.

Thanks for your quick reply. I agree about the net and was just looking for some fully enclosed ones and may have found something suitable. It seems to have a full roof which would be more suitable for when they are outdoors. The Argos one also looks good, says it folds away flat which would be very useful as I'm tight on storage space! I'll have to look into the options of making a rood myself and see whether it would be better to buy one with a roof or make the roof.

The argos one is hooks on one end of the panel and loops on the other so you slot it together. This means you can add more panels if you want. I use mine in the kitchen when I do a mega clean out. There is a guy on ebay that sells panels that you either screw or hinge together..Will do panels any size you want in any combination fairly cheap.Wooden frame with strong wire.
