Hi All...

Our girls live indoors but are currently spending about 8 hours a day outside in their run on the lawn which is fully enclosed, and fully covered with a thick PVC sheet, so is rain, sun and windproof, so unless it's blowing a gale or pouring it down for ages, I'm happy for them to be out.
Obviously though, give it a few more weeks and it's just going to be too cold outside for them right?
Now through the winter they will of course have cuddle and supervised floor time in the evenings, but during the day I cant see how they're going to like being stuck in their cage for 8 hours rather than running round in their pen (my fiance works from home, dont worry, they're not left out in the garden all day alone! He can see them out the window :))

So anyway, sorry, waffling! I'm going to get them a smaller indoor run which I will set up in one of the bedrooms with the PVC sheet underneath it to protect the carpet, then we can cut grass and dandelions for them, put their houses and toys in, which should at least be more fun than their cage.
HOWEVER, due to dog and cat, we need a fairly strong run that's fully enclosed. I dont have the room to bring in their big one from outside.

Has anyone had/used one of these? http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/rodents/cages/pens_fencing/pens_with_racks/35638
It'd have to be the smallest size.
I see the description says it's anchored with metal pegs in the ground - as I want to use it indoors, does this mean it'll be too flimsy and wobbly?
I cant use any run that just comes with netting - I dont trust my cat! And with a 10 year old around at weekends, it cant be trusted that the bedroom door will always be left shut!

Or does anyone know of any other suitable indoor runs, that are fully enclosed?
I love my guinea girls, but I am POOR right now, so £35 all in is my absolute limit for now.

Thanks!

I have one of these and it's ok and I would think it would be quite cat resistant but without the corner pegs in it is not rigid as such (unless you added a rigid base, perhaps?)

C&C grids might be a cheaper and more flexible option, you can still build a roof but I haven't done it myself

I have this run for outdoor use. It is cat proof - I have seen my neighbour's cat trying it out but she didn't get in!

It is rigid and very secure, I would recommend it although you would have to add some sort of base to it for indoor use.
