Hi,

My piggies currently live outside but are coming in to live in a couple of weeks. Is the weather still ok at the moment to have them living outside but coming in to play and have cuddles as I have read in other threads that piggies do not take well to temperature fluctuation when moving from inside to out in colder weather ?

It is still warm enought to be outside. Do I understand correctly that they will be coming indoors permamently?

I think it's okay to bring them in and out for a few more weeks yet. It's not really that cold right now.

Then you are going to have them inside living right?

The problems begin when you bring a pig that is used to the mid-winter temperatures into a toasty warm home. That kind of fluctuation is too much; there is fairly little difference between indoor and outdoor temperature for many people at the moment.

I am bringing them in for cuddles and play at the moment still as the indoor and outdoor temps do not seem to be too different (usually mid afternoon) but will be so glad when they are in permenently though !

How much longer do you think i can keep bringing them in during the day but back out again early evening ?

Common sense will dictate how long you can keep moving them in and out. Usually if it is too cold for you outdoors without extra clothes it is too cold for a gp.
