Hi

me and my partner are going away for 3 days next week and decided to put the piggies in local boarding. I already know the boarding place are good and have experience with guinea pigs and know how to care for them so don't need a care sheet as such, but was thinking of putting together a information sheet on the guinea pigs for them. what do people put on information sheets for other people or what are the best things to put on it

I did one for my parents as they have only looked after the piggies twice before.. I just detailed the daily routine in full just incase they couldn't remember.. when to feed veggies etc.. and even wrote down how to do the hay tray etc... i do it with my eyes closed (you know what i mean) but when you write it all down its quite a lot to remember !

Last year I was away for three days and my pet sitter didn't have much experience of rats or piggies so I left all food labelled and detailed veg and when to give them it.She also had instructions for litter trays

I am finding it hard to know what to write apart from basic information, personalities and contact details,as i am sure boarders have thier own routine and don't really need so much of a care plan as know how to look after guinea pigs, but hard to know what information to give them as first time using boarding for pets

It all depends, when we used VIP piggies, Noel and Tracey where very experienced so we just left details of meds to be given etc... and our emergency contact number

When my mom looks after ours we write down what food to be given when etc.... when to fill up water that sort of thing.
