Ingenious Icy Idea!

Just thought I'd share a clever idea for hot piggies in the summertime. (Not sure if someone has already posted this).

You will need:

An old plastic bottle (with lid)
A freezer
Some water

You fill the bottle with water, and place in the freezer overnight. Next time there is a hot day simply place in the guinea pig cage or wherever they are playing. Instant icy pack!

Please make sure that you wrap the bottle well in a towel, or there could be injuries.

Don't fill the bottle too full.leave room for the ice to expand

I had this issue this morning but with my own personal bottle, lovely drenching of icy water!

Oh wow, I used @Wiebke 's tip and hey presto, piggy full on leaning across the bottle! Well someone was warm!

I have the problem of 1 of my piggys away hiding under the cloth that I've wrapped the bottle in. So now put bottle into two sports socks and knot the end. I use the very small coke bottles, the shops have just stared selling this smaller size or the little panda pop bottles. Just the right size for large men's sport socks
