Being a new owner (in 6 days time) i would like some advice on their health

We have a dog, who of course has regular boosters, health check ups, Flea treatment, wormer tablets .....

Are there any regular checks/treatments that guinea pigs need. Ive tried looking for answers but cant seem to find any ?

Hope you can help

You can get guinea pigs wormed if they are going to be outside. Other then that they do not need any injections.

We take our piggies to a family friend who is a rodentologist at our vets, but we take them to her home every 3 months where she cuts their nails, worms them and gives them a service and MOT, other than that, they dont need any injections, they only really need to see a vet when you suspect something is wrong, i.e they lose weight, or go off their food, or sit in a corner fluffed up, or has raspy breathing for example, then you know its time to get them to a vet ASAP.
