Hi all, not posted in a long time.

Just wanted to ask if anyone had any experience with there piggy having a ear infection?

Joey has been diagnosed with having one and it came on very quickly, Thursday night i noticed he had a head tilt, Friday he went to the vets and they diagnosed an inner ear infection (right ear), he had an injection and is now on baytril and metacam. He seems to be brighter today and is still eating small amounts and i hand fed him to make sure he's eating enough. Is there anything else i can do and when will the antibiotics begin to work? He goes back to the vets on Tuesday. His head is no longer tilted.

There had been some blood and his ear did smell/weep, i have now cleaned the outside and all is clear. The vet did say that his ear was bleeding due to the infection, there wasn't much blood but as he has white fur it looked awful. Anymore advice i would be grateful.

He is much happier i feed him every hour to make sure he's eating and he just sat on my lap eating for himself for about 15mins :) Then he went back with his best friend Gizmo to eat some grass. Hopefully he will feel better soon and he popcorned on my lap :) xx
