well the flies are out and very annoying, i have put up fly paper around the cages but does anyone else have any other ideas? are there any sort of candles or oils that you can use to repel them >:( don't want them near my babies......
 
I know what you mean,haven't noticed it with the hutch but a big bluebottle got in the run the other day and made them all popcorn like crazy, I had to take the lid off as the stupid thing couldn't work out how to get out
 
I have been using some citrus disenfectant to clean cages and then I poor it over the path around the cages obviously they arent in the cages at the time and I use one that is safe for animals it seems to work but I do have to pour it over that path on a regular basis and let it dry before putting piggies back in their cages.
 
might give that a try, whats it called? my piggies are caged indoors and there are alot of cages, i have 37 piggies so flies do come in >:( i just want to do all i can to keep them safe. am cleaning regular but just thought there might be a safe repellent that could be used in the room.
 
Have you tried a blue light thingy that zaps them they are a litle expensive but work a treat ! I use a disenfectant called Flora and water it down a lot!
 
i use to use that stuff, loved the smell of it. might get a zapp machine. bought them an air condition unit last month. spoilt pigs but i love them :smitten:
