I still have my hutch outside but noticed a bit of a chill in the air last night. Do you think its time to re locate to the garage yet or can they enjoy the fresh air for another couple of weeks?
Maybe you could cover them overnight with a blanket/tarp, then it won't be as cold.
Mine are outside all year round and they are coping well with lots of hay and sheltered position and covered with tarp overnight on the colder nights ... but I'm in OZ and it doesn't get as cold here as in GB.
Mine have not lived outside this year its been way to damp rainy and cold. They have been out in the runs but at night they have been in their hutches in the shed. From early next week the forcaste for here is below 10c so the heater in my shed might be switched on at night. Extra hay is already been given.
hi ,
i would move them in around late september /early october time when it starts getting chilly at night. mine are in shed all year round but i do give them extra hay in the winter as it can still get abit chilly even in the shed
